Confidence is the oxygen of a Big Dreamer. Without it, you can think big, plan big, pray big but you’ll never move big. And if we’re being real, confidence is the first thing life tries to take from you when things fall apart.

I know that personally.

There was a season not too long ago when everything around me cracked finances, business, relationships, direction. Everything that once felt stable suddenly felt like quicksand. And when the dust settled, I realized something powerful: the only thing I truly needed to rebuild wasn’t money… it was confidence.

Here’s the part most people don’t talk about:

Confidence doesn’t always come from isolation, affirmations, or trying to hype yourself up alone. Sometimes confidence comes from the people you grew up with. The community that shaped your energy. The roots you come from.

At the time, my relationship with certain family members wasn’t where I wanted it to be. I kept my distance because I was avoiding negativity, protecting my peace, and trying to grow. But what I didn’t realize was, even with all of that, there was still something in the presence of those people, something familiar, something ancestral, something cultural that reminded me of who I truly was.

And for the first time in a long time, being around them made me feel like I could fly.

Because when you come home to people who genuinely love you, even imperfectly…When you walk into a space where you don’t have to perform, pretend, or prove anything…When you know you’re supported even if you fall…

That becomes your trampoline.

That’s the kind of confidence that lets you take risks, dream again, rebuild, and try one more time.

So if you’ve lost your confidence, here’s today’s message:

Go back to your roots. Go back to what poured into you. Go back to the people who remind you of who you are. Go mend what needs to be mended. Go reconnect to the source that made you believe you could fly.

Because confidence isn’t a personality trait. It’s a lifeline. And you’re going to need it for the journey God is taking you on.
